About Us

JD Downey, President, established Golf Course Services Inc. in August 2009. Prior to forming The company, JD was a project manager for Spence Golf, Inc. where he led multiple award-winning renovation and construction projects. JD has helped renovate, build, and maintain several high-profile area clubs such as Quail Hollow Country Club, home of the Quail Hollow Championship, and The Club At Longview. He has worked with notable architects including Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Rees Jones, Greg Norman and Graham Marsh. JD and his family have lived in the Charlotte, NC area for 26 years.
